Early/absentee voting begins Tuesday, Oct. 8 in a local regular election in Las Cruces in which Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) will be used for the first time. Those races are for mayor, city councilors in districts 1,2 and 4 and presiding municipal court judge.

What is RCV and how does it work? Dona Ana County Clerk Amanda López Askin explains in a new video podcast produced by the City of Las Cruces Communications office.

López Askin will also provide other election-related information.
